PDA Facilitating the Involvement of Civil Society in Tsunami Relief Nagapattinam

University students were motivated to move into the villages and hamlets to clean and clear the places of corpses, debris and carcasses so as to prevent the spread of epidemics.
Meet people to console and counsel them.
Distribute relief materials.
In turn they became more humane with the experience of humanitarian work.
Number of participants – 140 Persons

Relief Packages of PDA

Cloths for men, women and children.
Rice, Pulses, Cereals, Milk, Water, Tea, Coffee, Salt, Sugar, Oil, Spices etc.
Sleeping mats, bed sheets and towels.
Utensils, stove, lamps, soap, candles and match boxes etc.
Vegetables and snacks.
Number of beneficiaries – 7321 Families
