People's Development Association (PDA) was established in 1999 as a social work organization by a group of young social activists, who were involved in various developmental activities and desired to have an organization of their own, to basically assist, co-operate and collaborate with various social organisations – NGOs – with Research, Planning, Training and Evaluation of their programmes so as to help them to become more effective in their respective fields. This organization was formally registered on the 07th September - 1999, as a Trust under the Indian Trust Act and its headquarters is in Madurai at:
